This project is a corner café specializing in freshly made cakes. The design concept draws inspiration from the idea of a “dessert workshop,” using materials and colors to convey the brand’s spirit and the warmth of the space. The bar counter, crafted from stacked layers of travertine, mimics the delicate layers of a mille-feuille cake. Positioned at the heart of the layout, it visually connects the takeaway window with the dine-in area, serving as the central visual axis, much like the core of a dessert.
The walls are painted in a warm, egg-yolk-inspired hue to create an inviting atmosphere, while the ceiling features wood wool cement boards that evoke the soft, airy texture of a cake. Subtle metallic baking tray accents are integrated throughout, reflecting gentle light and echoing the precision and warmth of the baking process. Together, these details shape a space that feels like a freshly baked dessert, rich in texture, warmth, and sensory depth, offering guests a refined and immersive experience.
